Hi-Innovator is an initiative of the National Social Security Fund and the Mastercard Foundation implemented by Outbox through partner Hubs (Like dfcu foundation) to support Uganda’s small & growing businesses demonstrating potential for scale, sustainability & impact. Support involves technical assistance, market linkages, access to business development support services, and follow-on financing from a network of financing institutions & investors.
dfcu foundation Support Organization through its Hi Innovator Hub, charged with the contribution to the pipeline for the Hi Innovator Program by providing Business Development Services and Technical Assistance. Hereunder, dfcu foundation provides business support infrastructure to start-ups meeting the qualification criteria, having them access the dfcu foundation Digital Learning Hubs to access the Hi-Innovator Business Academy Platform and other digital support services.
The Hi-Innovator Academy offers entrepreneurs self-directed online learning opportunities, entrepreneurs with essential business skills to bridge gaps in their enterprises and boost their competitive edge. Participants can access catalytic seed funding, technical support, and affordable capital through this transformative platform.
This collaboration aligns with dfcu foundation’s strategic objectives towards Financial Stewardship-Sustaining operations of dfcu foundation; Business Growth – Growing dfcu foundation’s Business innovatively; Organizational Capacity improvements and Internal Control enhancements.

We currently boast a pipeline of over 1,400 individuals, 30 enterprises being supported by dfcu foundation formerly ADC to complete the Academy course and 24 enterprises currently being supported to take part in the Hi Innovator Accelerator.
